2023 Ornella Cane and Joel got married in Atotonilto

We were invited to our first Mexican wedding.  Our developer’s daughter, Ornella Cane and Joel were married in Atontonilto, Mexico in October in an historic church that was prominent in the Mexican Revolution. It started at noon and went on past midnight.  Deb and I only lasted till 7:30. It was a long day and we left the partying to the young folks.  The wedding was beautiful and all in Spanish.  We didn't understand a word of the ceremony.  The reception was extravagant with unlimited drinks and food served at our table.  They are a beautiful couple and they have the promise of a wonderful life!

The Sanctuary of Atotonilco is known worldwide for being a participant in the history of Mexican Independence, when priest Miguel Hidalgo took a banner with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe as the flag of the insurgent army.
